DOCUMENTARIAN - PHOTOGRAPHER - VIDEOGRAPHER

Ricky Gottschalk is a 2023 graduate of Michigan State University. He majored in Environmental Studies and Sustainability (B.S.) and Media and Information (B.A.) while minoring in Documentary Production.

Coming from rural Michigan, Ricky has always felt strongly connected to nature and his environment. Additionally, movies and films resonated with him from a young age. Now, Ricky hopes to merge both of his passions by conveying stories about science and the environment.

Ricky is communicating science across various mediums while maintaining a strong interest in documentary film. In collaboration with businesses, NGOs, and research labs, Ricky has created multiple pieces of media to convey the messages and goals held most important by each respective institution.
